Reasons why Roots Vacuum Pump Unit Needs Supplementary Water

In order to make the energy transferred from the supplementary water to Roots vacuum pump unit work effectively on the gas and improve its efficiency, the supplementary water should enter at the end of the liquid work on the gas, that is, at the highest point of the compression chamber, so that the unit can obtain sufficient energy and start again at the next cycle rotation. So what's the reason? The following knowledge will be introduced to you in detail:
1. Loss of the exhaust hole of the supplementary liquid ring with the gas flow;
2. End clearance between sealing pump body and impeller;
3. Compression heat produced by discharging compressed gas;
4. Cooling and lubricating fillers, packing glands and other parts.
If the amount of supplementary water is large, excessive water takes up part of the gas space (also can be considered as the increase of the thickness of the water ring), which reduces the gas volume and exhaust pressure. Too much water also increases power consumption, reduces efficiency, and produces noise and vibration. The operation of Roots vacuum pump unit is very unstable, and periodically, Pulsatively ejects a large amount of water from the exhaust hole.
If the amount of supplementary water is less, the heat of compression in Roots vacuum pump unit can not be exhausted sufficiently, so that the temperature of water ring and upper gas rises and the gas volume and vacuum degree decreases; if the amount of water is too small, the loss of water ring can not be supplemented, which not only further reduces the performance, but also stops working because the water ring can not be formed.
In order to improve the working efficiency of Roots vacuum pump unit, it is necessary to make up water properly, not too much or too little, so as to ensure the good operation of the equipment.
